👉The League Against Cruel Sports is a recognised entity with presence all over the UK, which has conducted major campaigns to fight hunting, “sporting” breeding and related activities like bullfighting. So their research was crucial in the Hunting Act 2004 introduction, which bans hunting with dogs in England and Wales, as well as their efforts to protect foxes, deer and hares from the illegal activities that still take place. In detail, the League works in partnership with other organisations and officials in the UK to protect but also to educate people, train security forces and campaign against abuse for sporting or recreational purposes. The League has almost 3,000 acres (1,200 hectares) of land where they’ve built sanctuaries to keep animals protected, owning the “sporting rights” that prohibit hunting and other bloodsports in the perimeter. Please read🙏. Yesterday's elephant 🐘 death in Kerela is ONE AMONG THE MANY tragic death of animals across the world. Here, the locals never intended to kill the elephant. They had kept the cracker filled pineapple to scare away the boars. . . . If I can recall, last year also a piece of news circulated about a group of elephants. People tied crackers to their tails to protect their crops. As reported by the villagers, they created a nuisance in the villages. Allegedly the concerned authorities too took no measures regarding the situation.🙄 . . . Also, the ENDLESS SUFFERING OF CATTLE AND LIVESTOCK for our meat and dairy consumption is a BITTER TRUTH AND HYPOCRISY.😣 . . . Now, ask yourself, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE for this? WE ARE, and there's no doubt in it. Human being has become a predator on this earth. How? . . . 1. Every day, at some corner deforestation and habitat loss, is happening.  Not just animals, but also indigenous tribes are losing their land and identities.😏 . . 2. #throwbackthursday I’m not sure what was bigger when I was 18, my hair or my face 😳 . That was freshmen year of college, 30 lbs heavier and so incredibly unhealthy physically and spiritually. . I know I say this a lot, but it’s so hard to believe that I am healthier, stronger, leaner and happier at 49 then I ever was at 18! ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . Why why is it so hard to believe? Because society continually tells us that everything falls apart as we age … and it’s simply not true if you don’t want it to be. . My friend ... do NOT let people tell you ... ⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "It's too late"⠀ "You're too old"⠀ "You're not good enough"⠀ "You're not smart enough"⠀ "You're not strong enough"⠀ .⠀ UGH ... it drives me bat ass crazy when people say these negative, untrue, hurtful things above! Trust and believe that the person saying these things to you says it out of their OWN DOUBTS AND INSECURITIES. ⠀ .⠀ With age comes the absolutely beautiful wisdom and strength to RISE ABOVE THE FOOLISHNESS and be the better person. Plantains on repeat over here! This power bowl recipe totally takes us back to Belize. 🏝 The flavors of this dish are on point between the shrimp, zesty lime and the creamy coconut. Plantains go so well soaked up in the sauce. We added kale from our garden and broccoli to give it an extra kick of nutrients. TOFU KATSU CURRY😍 @sovegan 👇🏽RECIPE BELOW👇🏽 . . Simple, elegant and totally delicious😋 . Follow @vegandiet_recipes for more vegan inspiration🌱 . . Ingredients Tofu 300g extra firm tofu Flour mix 1/4 cup plant-based milk 80g vegan cornflakes . Method Tofu Cut the tofu and dip them in the flour mix, plant-based milk and the vegan cornflakes. Fry each side for 2-3 minutes. Bake them at 180°C for 15 minutes (fan) . Ingredient Sauce 1/2 onion 2 medium carrots 2 cloves garlic 1/2 tbsp curry powder 1/2 tsp garam masala 1 tbsp plain flour 300ml vegetable stock 2 tbsp coconut cream Salt and pepper season to taste . Method Sauce Add the onion and carrots in a pan and fry for 7 minutes. Add the garlic and fry for 2 minutes. Add the curry powder, garam masala and plain flower and fry for 1 minute. Add the vegetable stock and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. Add the coconut cream, salt and pepper. Chinese BBQ rice (Char Siu rice '叉烧饭')😋 By @woon.heng ⠀ Recipe⁣⠀ 🍃Chili sauce: Blend 4-5 red jalapenos, 3 tablespoons rice vinegar, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 2 cloves garlic, 1 slice ginger, dash of salt until well combined. Taste test, more salt if needed, this chili sauce should have a tangy flavor. Lime juice can be used for extra flavor. Refrigerate until ready to use.⁣⠀ 🍃Flavored rice⁣⠀ ~ 1 cup Jasmine rice, rinsed thoroughly & drained⠀ ~ 2 cloves minced garlic, 1tbsp grated ginger, 3tsps sesame oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt⁣⠀ ~ 1 1/4 cups water⁣⠀ (Instructions adapted from Bon Appetit, I usually use rice cooker but in case you prefer a pot☺️)⁣⠀ ✔️In a heated pot with sesame oil, sauté garlic & ginger until fragrant. Add rice & stir continuously, then add water & salt. Bring it to boil, turn heat to low & let simmer (just barely) for about 18 minutes. Turn off heat, cover lid & let rest for 15-20mins. Prep tofu while waiting. Use a fork to fluff the rice when ready.⁣⠀ 🍃BBQ Tofu:⁣⠀ ~ 1 pack firm tofu (16oz), drained really well, cut into 3 long logs, shallow pan fried until golden brown with oil⁣⠀ 🍃Char Siu sauce: Mix together 4 tbsp hoisin sauce, 2 tbsp garlic chili sauce, 1.5 tbsp soy sauce, 4 tbsp water, dash of berry powder (optional) until well combined⁣⠀ ✔️Pour sauce into a pan, bring it to boil and let simmer until sauce thickens a little. Slowly add in tofu, using a spoon, scoop sauce and coat tofu well. Sauce will starts to thicken up more & stickier towards the end. Delightful dipping dumplings. Whatever dip you choose it's sure to go great with these mushroom & walnut dumplings by @livinlaveganlife ⁠ ⁠ ⁠ 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬⁣⁠ - 12 popstickers wrappers⁣⁠ - 2 cups of chopped mushrooms⁣⁠ - 1/2 onion, chopped⁣⁠ - 1 garlic clove, chopped⁣⁠ - 1/2 cup of walnuts⁣⁠ - Salt/pepper⁣⁠ ⁣⁠ 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬⁣⁠ 1. In a food processor, add mushrooms, walnuts, onion, garlic, and salt/pepper.⁣⁠ 2. Pulse until well combined.⁣⁠ 3. With room temperature water, wet the edges of the wrapper with your finger.⁣⁠ 4. Place 1 tsp of filling in the middle of the wrapper.⁣⁠ 5. Fold the wrapper in half.⁣⁠ 6. To close the wrapper, you are going to fold and pinch it closed around 5- 6 times. Some more caribbean stylie food! (Mainly because a plantain I bought aaaaaages ago was finally ripe! 😂) So had another go at rice and peas I swear brown long grain rice is the worst! Still not perfected yet. I made a chickpea, potato and coconut curry, using leftovers from last nights BBQ potato salad, and I added some @redlegrum pineapple spiced rum and it was SUCH a good touch! Avocado on the top to compliment the spiceee and then my finally ripe plantain on the side (it was well worth the wait). Dear Sir, Subject: To draw your attention to the cruelty meted out to elephants in Kerala More than 600 elephants are kept for religious tourism in Kerala in extremely cruel conditions and in complete violation of The Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and Guidelines for the Care and Management of Captive Elephants 2008. Elephants are endangered and are on Schedule 1 of The Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and on the Red List of Threatened Species of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Temple elephants are completely deprived of their natural behavior and diet. Majority do not have ownership certificates clearly showing that they have been poached from the wild. They are beaten into submission by mahouts. This is a great tragedy that the people of India do not stand for. I do not stand for this cruelty and demand that the state - 1) Take strict action against the perpetrators who killed the pregnant elephant on the 2nd of June 2020. 2) Initiate legal proceedings against institutions who own elephants without valid ownership certificates. 3) Build elephant sanctuaries and transfer the elephants from temple backyards to sanctuaries which will attract far more tourists. I got these sweeties for Scott and I from @theconsciouscandycompany because @what_jacckrabbit_eats and a couple of others said they were worth getting. They’re really good! Love the texture and although they’re quite fruity tasting they aren’t far off what I remember non vegan ones tasting like! 🌱 • • Kind of wish I ordered some other sweets to mix up with them but I’m a bit fussy and I just don’t enjoy fizzy sweets much anymore so I wouldn’t know what to choose anyway! A splodge of gochujang (a splodge is a professional measurement and equivalent to 3/4 of a dollop 🤪) Some warm charred veggies of your choice plus some edamame beans, sugar snap peas etc. Pan fried Tofu steaks (we marinated ours with soya and lemongrass puree easy peezy) Pickled Ginger, picked cucumber. (Recipe below) Carefully arrange it in a bowl then mix together. Enjoy Pickled Ginger *************** Basic pickling liquor 1 cup sugar 1 cup water 1 cup rice wine vinegar or cider or white wine. Add all to pan bring to the boil, done. pour some of the hot liquid over your thinly sliced ginger and allow to cool. When cool add 1/2 teaspoon of beetroot powder to make it pink. Elephants are endangered and are on Schedule 1 of The Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and on the Red List of Threatened Species of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Temple elephants are completely deprived of their natural behavior and diet. Majority do not have ownership certificates clearly showing that they have been poached from the wild. They are beaten into submission by mahouts. This is a great tragedy that the people of India do not stand for. Mango Sticky Rice 🥭 Simply mix coconut cream, sugar, and salt in pot on low. Pour the cream together in a bowl of warm sticky rice (sticky rice should be soaked overnight and steamed for 20mins. It’s #WaffleWednesday - my favorite day of the week 🤤 and what better way to celebrate then with a stack THIS GOOD by @healthbyshortstack ❤️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ・・・⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Simple almond butter & jelly @birchbenders paleo toaster waffle for breakfast⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🍓Homemade Berry Chia Jam:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In a saucepan (or even just in a microwaveable bowl) add 1 cup of frozen (or fresh) berries — here I used organic raspberries. Once warm, start to mash with a fork then add in 1-2 tbsp chia seeds. The more you add, the thicker the jam will be. Optional to also add in lemon juice and/or a splash of maple syrup. I like the natural sweetness and tart of raspberries though. Stir to combine, then cook on low till it starts to thicken up. Store in a jar in the fridge, where it will thicken even more. Mix Vegetable Curry 🍛 2 onions (chopped finely) 2 potatoes (cubed) 2 carrots (chopped) 1/4 green pepper (chopped) 1/2 cup garden peas 1/4 cup sweet corn 1 tbsp garlic (minced) 1 tbsp ginger (minced) 1 tsp green chillies (minced) 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds 1 tsp Garam masala 1 1/2 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Paprika 1/2 tsp Turmeric 1/2 tsp Curry Powder 1/4 tin Plum Tomatoes 3-4 tbsp oil of choice 2 tbsp Fresh coriander for garnish. 1. Heat oil , add chopped onions, garlic, ginger and cumin seeds, cook until they have softened and browned slightly. 2. Add the plum tomatoes & chillies and cook in for a further 4-5 mins, until oil separates. 3. Add all other spices. 4. Add all your vegetables. 5. Let it cook on low heat with lid on until vegetables have softened. 6. Shepherd’s Pie 😋 Ingredients: -45 g Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) -75 g carrots -25 g onion -30 g corn -300 g cauliflower -175 g potato -1 clove garlic -1 tbsp nutritional yeast -1 packet vegan gravy -salt & pepper Start by rehydrating the TVP. To do this mix TVP with 2 cups hot water or vegetable stock Let sit for 5-10 minutes & drain Pan fry TVP just enough to get the excess water out Cut up & boil potatoes and cauliflower Once both have cooked through, blend into a mash Add garlic, nut yeast salt & pepper into mashed caulipotato & blend If mixture is too thick, add a little almond milk Cook onions, carrots, & corn in a skillet until soft In baking dish, add TVP first, then veggies, and lastly the mashed caulipotatoes You can add the gravy at the same time as the veggies or wait and pour over the dish Bake dish at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes The entire sheet is worth 460 calories & contains 37 grams protein For more low calorie, high protein recipes like french toast, protein cookies, pancakes, burgers, and mac & “cheese” be sure to follow @mirandapercichveganfitness! 🌱 Comment below what recipes you would like to see! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Barbecue Chickpeas with rice, avocado and greens!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📸: @theplantifulchef⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Recipe⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2tbs tomato puree ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3 tbs maple syrup ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2tsp vegan Worcester sauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1tsp garlic puree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2tsp tamari or soy sauce ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1tsp liquid smoke (optional) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1/2 tsp cider vinegar⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pinch of salt ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1tbs of water to thin it out and a little coconut sugar after you have tasted it, you might not need it!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 can of chickpeas, rinsed and dried with a kitchen towel⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Method; ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Place chickpeas in air fryer for around 10-15 minutes at 180degrees. Keep checking on them and giving them a toss around make sure they get the same amount of cooking on all sides. For the sauce, simply combine all of the ingredients and mix well. Taste it make sure its to your flavour. Once the chickpeas are ready they should have a little crunch on the outside and still soft in the middle. Warm a little of your sauce over low heat and toss the chickpeas in there to get them nice and coated. Serve with your favourite sides and dig in!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Simple yet delicious.

Pasta bake. I love this meal because it lasts two nights and I think I need to do this kind of thing more often because I definitely do not enjoy cooking every night. 🙅‍♀️ • • Not feeling so positive at the moment. Had another pretty wobbly mental health day today. I feel like I’ve got no energy, no motivation (that’s a pretty standard symptom of depression for me but the lack of energy is hard), feeling like this current state I’m in is the end of the world. Just exhausted being alive to be honest. Not the #influencer content anyone wants to read but it’s reality. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to see that this will pass but right now it feels like everything is dragging.

WE NEED TO BE A WELL-LIT LIGHT TO A LOST WORLD. ⠀ .⠀ Sometimes it is easier to stay away from people who do not believe or act like you do, but they need love and compassion too, more than most really. ⠀ .⠀ On the Cross, Jesus asked His Father to forgive those who were crucifying Him because they didn’t know what they were doing. He looked at them as victims. He chose not to see hatred. They had no idea they were crucifying their Lord and Savior. ⠀ .⠀ We may be the only light they see. Our influence can make an impact. ⠀ .⠀ The first and second commandment go hand in hand. The first commandment is that we are to love God, and the second commandment is found in Mark 12:31 (NLT), “The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” ⠀ .⠀ Godly love shows the world a different attitude toward those who hurt you—exactly what this world needs.
